Their Communication Need
European Aluminium Association (EAA) wanted to provide its stakeholders more than a standard printed "Annual Report". They wanted to give a more dynamic, interactive feeling for how the industry in Europe was progressing. They wanted a good summary of events of the past year, plus provide stakeholders the key papers, web pages, videos and other communications that they had developed over the past year.
The Business Communication Solution
Morris & Chapman presented a three part solution:
- Printed Annual report
- 10 minute video giving highlights of the year
- CD-ROM that contained the above and many other important communications
The CD-ROM would have a user-friendly interface that would allow all computer users to quickly and easily access all information no matter the format.
Web was not used as a distribution media in this case as the data would have taken too long to download on even the quickest systems.
Results
The Annual Report, including the video, was well received in the various press conferences (etc.) where it was presented. In addition, the Annual Report / CD-ROM pack was directly mailed out to hundreds of stakeholders. Over the next year, it was also a key element of the EAA's promotional material.
