CASE STUDIES - EURIMA
Their Communication Need
EURIMA is a forward-looking association with a geographically dispersed constituency. They realised that as
well as aiding their European advocacy work, a web site could be very useful in gathering and disseminating
information to their members and their clients.
In April 2000, EURIMA approached Morris & Chapman to develop their initial site.
The Business Communication Solution
Morris & Chapman proposed a two-stage process. Initially, a site would be developed based upon the
immediate, obvious needs of the stakeholders. As the needs of the stakeholders were better understood, the
site would evolve. This process allowed a quick development and roll out and incorporated built-in market
research.
It was foreseen that a second phase would be required where the site would be rebuild from the ground up
based upon the learnings expected from the first version.
Results
The initial site was up within a month. It performed admirably as an information nexus for the
stakeholders. Content was added and reorganised on an ongoing basis.
Version II, launched in March 2003, was based on intense audience segmentation and needs analysis. It
utilised a custom-tailored content management system to ensure updating of the majority of the site could
be directly done by EUIRMA staff. It incorporated the latest in search engine optimisation. Since the
launch traffic has been up by 240%. It is expected that this should increase further as other aspects of the
search engine optimisation hit their stride.
Client Comment
"Morris & Chapman roll up their sleeves and have what it takes to fine-tune your web performance promises."
- Drs. Matthias Hocke, Director, EURIMA.
