CASE STUDIES - European Virtual Amphitheatre
Their Communication Need
The European Virtual Amphitheatre is a project to help young people understand the shared values of the "European Project" i.e. the development and growth of the pan-European institutions and culture.
The EVA states there are 6 fundamental European values and they therefore wanted 6 visual ways of expressing these values no matter the language. This was to be comprised of two parts: 1) icons to capture the essence of the values and 2) an "online explanation" that elaborated these values in a visual and auditory interactive experience.
Although these were mainly intended for the web, versions of it would have to be relevant for any environment.
The Business Communication Solution
Through meetings with stakeholders and review of related existing material, Morris & Chapman absorbed the concepts of the core values, and working with imagery from the stakeholders, developed 6 pictograms symbolising the core European values. To illustrate the values in a AV interactive context, the mini-videos were developed to pictorially illustrate these values.
Results
The final result was a high impact, flexible concept efficiently and emotionally getting the message across.
