Their Communication Need
The IPA is the European voice of the platinum industry and had found that many people knew of platinum's use in jewellery but almost no one knew that the platinum group of metals is used in 30% of ALL manufactured goods.

The Business Communication Solution
Morris & Chapman proposed that a site be created which could provide information to a range of groups including: academic; political; scientific; industrial; & associations. The site was to be specifically designed for provision of information and not platinum advocacy.

Visitors to the site could subscribe to a periodic e-newsletter. The site, once completed, would be publicised to many related organisations.

Results
The site has been successful even beyond optimistic predictions. It now has 7000 unique visitors to the site every month and each of them stay 45 minutes per month. Hundreds are signed up to the monthly newsletter. Information from the site has been quoted in dozens of web and print press articles.

Also, due to Morris & Chapman's reasonable rates and organisation, Edelman is able to put this on for less than they used to.

All this is leading to the public knowing more and more about the many uses of platinum.
