Their Communication Need
On behalf of more than 60 member companies, PlasticsEurope generates information on the polymer industry and promotes plastics' positive contribution to society, both today and in the future.

PlasticsEurope was hosting its bi-annual conference, IdentiPlast, on recovering and recycling plastics. This was a much respected event but PlasticsEurope felt that it was suffering by not having a ongoing, standard visual identity.

The Business Communication Solution
Morris & Chapman recommended an approach that would project the right visual identity.

The basics were a style guide and a set layout for each type of document. Injected into this was a creative approach that used the images of different coloured washing pinss. While the same form of washing pin was used in all places, the choice of colour changed to reflect the recycling issue being discussed.

Various print materials were created for the conference ranging from pre-registration promotion to all in conference materials to post-conference surveys.

Results
Pre-conference material helped increased guaranteed attendance. Client had positive feedback from attendees.

PlasticsEurope, and the conference organisers in particular, were pleased with the creativity that went into the visuals and the ongoing standards that this enabled. This consistent approach, given enough time and exposure, will allow for an immediate recognition of conference related imagery.
