CASE STUDIES - PlasticsEurope
Their Communication Need
The Football World Cup organised in Germany was one of the world's first major sporting events to focus on the tournament's environmental
impact. The Organising Committee set up the "Green Goal" programme and welcomed PlasticsEurope as a programme partner.
The Business Communication Solution
To improve awareness of the "Green Goal" initiative and explain PlasticsEurope's involvement in the programme, Morris & Chapman organised a football centred
event and exhibition in the Royal Museum of Art and History in Brussels. The exhibition provided information on the Green Goal programme but also featured plasma
screens with great moments of the World Cup's history and an art exhibition on football. The opening reception was a festive event with star Goal Keeper Jean-Marie
Pfaff in goal on a specially constructed indoor penalty range.
Results
The event and the communication campaign surrounding the event increased the visibility of the Green Goal Programme and communicated key messages on Plastics as
an energy champion to a wide range of key audiences.
