‘A Face for Europe’ was a unique event, organised by Morris & Chapman for PlasticsEurope. The objective was to present the association to the new Commission and Parliament. We created a flagship event that was attended by several members of the European Commission and dozens of MEPs. First, 80 children from all 25 EU member states built 3D flags of their countries in LEGO at the Heyzel Expo Centre. These were exhibited at the ‘A Face for Europe’ event the following month. We organised the event at the Bibliothèque Solvay, which included portraits made of LEGO of all new Commissioners, a hemicycle built of LEGO bricks and busts of EU President Borrell and Commission President Barroso also made of LEGO. The event was attended by numerous MEPs and VIPs including Mr Borrell, the President of the European Parliament. At the event, PlasticsEurope donated €10,000 to two child-related charities.
