Repackaging the visual ID of the European packaging industry
The challenge
EUROPEN, the cross industry body representing the European packaging value chain, was operating with a visual identity that no longer reflected its evolving mission or strategic priorities. As packaging regulation and circular economy debates intensified at EU level, the organisation needed a brand that projected authority, clarity and collaboration. The identity had to resonate with policymakers, member associations and industry partners while clearly signalling EUROPEN’s commitment to sustainability, innovation and a harmonised Single Market for packaging.
What we did
We worked closely with EUROPEN to create a modern and future oriented visual identity aligned with its strategic positioning in Brussels and across Europe. Following a brand audit and stakeholder consultation process, we developed a refined logo, contemporary colour palette and clear typographic system designed for both digital and print environments. The visual language draws on themes of circularity, connection and European cooperation, ensuring the brand reflects the full packaging value chain. We also delivered comprehensive brand guidelines to guarantee consistency across policy papers, events, social media and website applications.
Results
The refreshed identity has strengthened EUROPEN’s visibility and credibility within the EU policy landscape. It provides a cohesive framework for communication across committees, publications and advocacy campaigns, improving clarity and recognition among stakeholders. The new brand supports EUROPEN’s role as a trusted and authoritative voice in packaging sustainability, positioning the organisation for greater impact in ongoing regulatory and circular economy discussions.
