IFRA Exhibitions in the European Parliament
Bringing a a unique experience to the European Parliament
The challenge
The International Fragrance Association (IFRA) wanted to engage policymakers and visitors in the European Parliament with a deeper understanding of the fragrance industry — from its scientific foundations to its cultural and emotional impact. Each exhibition had to capture a specific theme, from sustainability and safety to innovation and artistry, while complying with the strict technical and security requirements of the Parliament’s exhibition spaces. The challenge was to create installations that were both visually striking and intellectually engaging, within the logistical and spatial limits of this high-profile venue.
What we did
We designed and built a series of exhibitions tailored to IFRA’s thematic objectives. Each edition combined strong visual storytelling with tactile and interactive elements to make the science of scent accessible to a wide audience. One of the highlights was an immersive olfactory experience where visitors could literally “walk through” fragrance notes — a multi-sensory installation combining light, colour, and scent diffusion technology. We managed the full process: concept development, spatial design, content creation, production, installation, and on-site coordination, ensuring full compliance with Parliament regulations and timelines.
Results
The exhibitions attracted strong interest from Members of the European Parliament, Commission officials, and other stakeholders, helping to elevate awareness of the fragrance industry’s contribution to wellbeing, culture, and sustainability. The immersive scent installation became a talking point among visitors, turning a complex topic into an engaging experience. IFRA’s exhibitions succeeded in creating memorable moments of connection — both emotional and intellectual — within one of Europe’s most influential policy spaces.
